Project synopsis

Investigation of network data compression, in particular multiple description data compression. This work resulted in an approximate characterization (within one bit) of the Gaussian multiple description problem, which has been open for the past 30 years. This project was a part of a more comprehensive work on this topic, and more details can be found here.
