Wireless network information theory (ECE 239AS)

Course Description:

This is an advanced graduate class that covers recent developments in wireless communication from a fundamental viewpoint. It starts with the developments in point-to-point MIMO wireless communications, which has revolutionized wireless system design. The rest of the class is focused on the deterministic approximation approach to wireless networks. This allows some approximate characterizations of information flow over wireless networks. This class develops these ideas and applies them to (practical) methods of communication over wireless networks.

This course was taught at UCLA in Winter 2010-11, and Winter 2012-13.
